Black Elk Peak has no higher peaks to the east of it in the United States and Canada. It also has a beautiful stone fire lookout tower on the top. It’s breathtaking in many ways to take the 3.5-mile hike to the top. Surrounded by the beauty of the Black Hills and wildlife like mountain goats, it’s a must-see destination. I’m sure you’ll be rewarded if you make the hike.
